Every UKGC system is built with upgrade potential in mind from day one. More PSU headroom, extra RAM slots, open expansion bays with no proprietary dead ends.

Most manufacturers don't offer a gaming PC upgrade service because their systems aren't built for it. Ours are. A top-end GPU from five years ago won't keep pace with today's titles. Upgrading is nearly always better value than starting over.

Draft options first, then a formal PDF quote once you're happy. No obligation until you order.

Ship it to us
Box it up and book a courier. Typical cost £10-20. Include your order number and your Windows password or PIN.

We carry out the work
2–10 working days depending on complexity. Priority service available for £40.

Back to you
Upgraded, tested, and shipped back. Or collect in person.

What we need from you

The more detail you give us, the better. A full spec means we can confirm compatibility, identify what can be reused, and build the right upgrade path first time.

Finance available

Spread the cost of your upgrade with our finance options. Whether you're looking at a single component or a full system refresh, finance can make it more manageable without compromising on the spec you want.

Finance is available on upgrades just as it is on new systems - simply ask us about it when you get in touch and we'll factor it into your quote. We're based in Colchester, Essex and welcome drop-ins, or you can send your system to us from anywhere in the world.

PayPal Credit is available on orders over £99. Traditional finance is available on orders over £600. Find out more about our finance options.

Please note: systems upgraded using finance must be returned via UKGC's courier service, as we are required to submit proof of delivery to the finance company. You are welcome to send your system to us by any method you prefer.

Good to know

When should I get in touch? ⌄
Only contact us once you're ready to proceed within the next couple of weeks. Parts pricing changes daily and a quote from a few months ago won't be valid. If you just want a rough idea of budget and feasibility first, say so upfront and we'll keep it brief.
Can you upgrade a PC I didn't buy from you? ⌄
Yes. Our upgrade service is open to any PC - built by us, another builder, or yourself. Use the Non-UKGC enquiry form and provide as full a spec as possible.
How long does an upgrade take? ⌄
Most upgrades complete within 2–10 working days once we have your system. We'll give you an estimate at the quoting stage. A priority service is available for £40 if you need a faster turnaround.
What packaging do I need? ⌄
If you have the original UKGC packaging, use it, we can reuse it for the return trip. Otherwise a sturdy tri-wall box with plenty of packing chips and bubble wrap is fine. Always include your upgrade order number and your Windows password or PIN so we can test the system after the upgrade is complete.
How much does shipping cost? ⌄
A typical gaming PC costs around £10-20 for a standard weekday courier service. We recommend using a parcel comparison site to find the best price - Parcel2Go, My Parcel Delivery and Parcel Monkey are all worth checking. Most couriers collect from home or work. We'll send you links when you order.
What about my data? ⌄
Please make sure you have an adequate backup of any important data before sending your system to us. UK Gaming Computers cannot be held responsible for any data loss during the upgrade process.
Can I use finance for an upgrade? ⌄
Yes, finance is available on upgrades. PayPal Credit is available on orders over £99, and traditional finance is available on orders over £600. Just mention it when you get in touch. Please note that while you can send your system to us by any method, we must return it via UKGC's courier service as proof of delivery is required by the finance company.
